Tailoring "Elements of..." advice please

Hi guys, just got my tailor to 200 and the recipes are starting to ask for "Elements of..." etc. Two questions:

1. I've heard people farm these for money, will I be able to farm them as a 43 warlock?

2. Did I make a massive mistake going tailor? Seems to be costing me a fortune, especially if you consider all the silk I get is sent to this toon to craft rather than sell.|||some of the stuff you need will drop around late 30's and early 40's but the best place to get all the mats to lvl up are found around lvl 50. your best bet is to check the thotty bible for the items you need and it will point you in thedirection of the best place at your lvl to farm the mats you need|||ahhh those.

fire - get from fire elementals in charred vale

air - get from air elementals near hammerfall.

water - easiest would be the water elementals in ashenvale, in a lake west of the silverings.

not sure about earth.

they're all within your level range.

if your aim was to make more money, then yes, you have made a mistake. but tailors can make money... just not as much as others. enjoy!|||Quote:

That much is quite true. The most viable professions for making money are the gathering ones, unless you can get rare recipes, and noone but a twink is going to pay a lot of money for any pre-outlands crafted stuff.

That said, no, tailoring isn't a mistake for a warlock, but it doesn't really pay off until lvl 70. Then, you get to make some really nice gear that's BoP, so you coudn't make it for anyone else, but more importantly, noone else could have made it for you. My warlock is pushing 1200 bonus shadow damage without a single raid drop, and I have to credit being a tailor for a good amount of that.
