Tailor a good money maker?

Besides good cloth gear can tailor be a good money maker later on? any suggestions? please i'm seeking for advice|||as a rule , usually no crafting skills makes money in general .... Alc and JC can make some money though due to making consumables.

But bags and the different "threads" you can make can sell really well (well=profit) , but dont count on that ... the mats are often worth more.

I found that the "Robes of arcanna" or what its called (the Warlock quest item) sells REALLY well (profit) ... cheap mats / eez grindable ...

Somtime you can stumble on a craft of a "rare" item (spellstrike/Whitmend etc etc) req the pattern but usually you can take a fee (i use to charge 40g) BUT almoast all tailors have the patterns nowdays so its quiet usless too even try to advertise in /trade|||very few profitable things you can make. some sell slowly. others sell fast. only fast selling item i can think of are netherweave bags. there's a thread on page two or three or four on what tailors can make to make money.|||mmm not really. You can make money off of cloth transmutes which are generally still worth more than the mats if you're a specialist in the cloth (specialists get 2 cloth per xmute, non-specialists get 1). Imbued NW bags are usually a profit center esp if you can DE the greens you get here and there for the GPEs.

But, no, if you want to make money, take a gathering profession. I have skinning on my tailor (since I have enchanting on another toon) and it's nice since you skn the thing you just killed. More of a pain at 70 since you have to kill things to skin them whereas pre-70 you're killing them to grind or in the course of a quest. Herbing will do well as will mining, but you need to take the time to gather things as you level or else you will need to go back and spend time levelling the profession by gathering.|||No, its great (I think the best) proffesion for personal benefit, but it can cost a lot to skill, very few items sell for above the price of the mats, and the high competition means AH prices for crafted items are generally lower than the mats to make the item.|||Bags and vanity items can make some money. But as exclusivity on the patterns goes away you have to rely on the boredom of the other tailors to make your money|||if you wanna go make money, take JC. they have 3 things in thier arsenal that makes them butloads of moeny, Prospecting, selling blue gems and cutting epics. and with 2.4 you can get all the epic recipes easily.but seriously get 20 stacks of adamantite ore prospect and theres 200g in profits, cut them all and its another 100g in profit. I got my epic flyer in 1 week with this setup. Hopefully your adamantite ore prices are low|||I use tailoring on my alt mainly to generate cheap greens for disenchanting.
