Mage professions provided infinite money?

Pretend for a moment that you can only ever have 1 single character, but that character had a literally infinite amount of gold. Not just lots, but completely infinite. Now imagine that the character is a Mage, and that PvP is a distant second to PvE.

Which professions would you choose?|||Tailoring and enchanting|||Well if money is no object, I'd go for Tailoring and Engineering.

Gotta love them toys...|||Quote:

That's actually what I was leaning towards myself, but I was wondering if anyone would recommend JCing for the trinkets for instance.|||I had JC/tailoring and the JC was only for money. if money is no object then tailoring/engineering for the cool goggles and toys. (Ive saved many heroics by going invisible and using jumper cables)|||It all depends what you want to do with the professions, and with the character.

If you want to make money, go for JC and Engineering.

If you want to make your own gear, sub one for tailoring.

And, the concept of "money is no object" is pretty much how the game is already...I have nothing much to spend money on now, so it just keeps adding up.|||Engineering for sure (because you have to have Engineering to use a lot of the items) and Alchemy. I could definitely use the Alchemist's Stone trinket for Raids.|||Infinite money?

I can buy any JC gem, buy just about any enchant, and pretty much everything else any profession can make. potions? i can buy. rings? bought. food? bought. what else?

I would choose tailoring because of the BOP items, and Engineering because of the engineering skill requirements to use most of the items. i would also get every recipe available in the game. i would also level up first aid and cooking. maybe fishing if i get bored, i mean with all my money, i'll probably get bored quite often.|||Quote:

Indeed....

Truthfully, if you had infinite money, you'd forgo tailoring, and would spend it on BT runs to buy T6 from a top guild.|||Ok, Infinite Gold and PvE is the goal:

-Low end PvE/raiding:

Tailoring / Enchanting. The usual PvE Clothie combination. Your tailor-"set" is awesome and you have to raid some to get it replaced.

High end PvE/Raiding:

Leatherworking / Enchanting. When you have about replaced your tailor gear, dump it for leatherworking due to the Drums which will buff tremendous in your high-end raids. Look up any of the leading raiding guids and wonder why 80% of the members are leatherworkers :)
