Two Questions

1. I'm an engineer and I just finished my Gnomish Quest to become a Gnomish Enginner. Where do I find the trainer to learn new skills.

2. What is cloud mining?|||Quote:

Welcome fellow Gnomish Engineer :)

1) I am Horde, therefore I go to Booty Bay in STV. There is a gnomish Engineer there who has all of the schematics. To get to him from the boat, run along the bottom (pass the ramp up to exit out to STV), take the next ramp up, then the ramp up to your left. He will be the first house to your left I believe.

Though I'm probably forgetting one of the steps to get to him, but Booty Bay is always a maze for me.

He's basically in the middle on a two house ledge.

If you are Alliance - there is one in Iron Forge I believe?

2) Are you talking about Mote Extracting? These are found in Outlands and Northrend (though I've only heard of them in Wintergrasp so far). You will need to build a 'Zapthrottle Mote Extractor' to 'mine' the clouds.

I bought my schematic for this from the Auction House.

I'd just built mine (at level 70 - yes, I'm always late on stuff like that), and it's very fun to get motes! :) (though not as fun as the deep diving helmet)|||Quote:

1. I believe I went to gadgetzen (Gnomish) to buy some schematic to levle my Eng. You might be able to buy some schematic from Everlook (Goblin) as well. It's been a long time so... hehe

2. At level 60, you complete a quest (The Zapthrottle Mote Extractor!) in Outland and you get a reward: Schematic: Zapthrottle Mote Extractor.

The Engineer goggles is able to see clouds on your mini map. You then use the extractor to collect gas/mote/crystallized air/water/fire/shadow. You can sell them for a good amount of gold.|||Wow,

thank you alot, you just cleared alot of confusion in my head. Is it worth mining the "clouds" And what do you get from it.|||Quote:

Yes. It is the easiest way for engineers to make money. You get mote of air/water/shadow/mana from outland. You get crystallized air/water/fire from Northrend.

Every 10 air/water/shadow/mana turn into one primal air/water/shadow/mana.

Every 10 crystallized air/water/fire turn into eternal air/water/fire. Each eternal air and fire are around 30g-40g on my server.|||Quote:

You can go to the Gnomish Engineering trainer in Booty Bay whether Horde or Alliance. I take my Alliance Gnome there.|||Ah - hA! THAT'S what those clouds are for.

(That had been bugging me for a while.)|||Quote:

I can't believe I forgot that it was a quest to get the mote extractor! (because I *just* did it, but obviously confused it with schematics I'd had sitting in my bank waiting to use). I wish I could alter my post now...

Sorry for the mis-information in my second answer :)|||The goblin trainer is it Gadgetzan.
