Is Advanced Herbalism enchant worth it?

I dropped enchanting as its was just too slow to improve and the mats too expensive to come by. My char. is a Tauren so I took on Herbalism to make use of the Taurens racial bonus in Herbalism.

My question is how much really is this enchant going to benefit me??

Formula: Enchant Gloves - Advanced Herbalism

Requires Enchanting (225)

Use: Teaches you how to permanently enchant gloves to give +5 herbalism skill.



Plus five?? I dont understand completely what that means?? Add 5 to my existing level of Herbalism? So if Im at 86/150 having gloves with this enchant will put me at 91/150 ? I must be missing something because this doesn't add up to much when you see how expensive the enchant is????

Also this enchant is quite pricey on my server. So much so I have started farming the enchant from the MOBS that drop it & have made a nice bit of gold selling the enchant on the AH.|||It does exactly what you've described, adds 5 to your current skill. Not worth it IMHO.|||I got it because I didn't have a tauren, and I needed to have a little edge while leveling my herbing skill. It's good if you're hardcore leveling from 1-300. But given that you have a tauren, it makes it less valuable to you.

Not sure how expensive the enchant was for you, but the mats was only about 6g, about 1g for each vision dust and sungrass on my server. A small investment for a little edge while I leveled up my herbing skill for 8 hours..|||Well, it can be pretty valuable for those who are still busy levelling.. I've so often come across a node that I just couldn't mine because I was missing just a lousy 2-3 points.. if I had a pair of lameass gloves with that mining enchant in my inventory, then I would've been able to get it.|||i have had a pair of low lvl gloves for mining inmy bank for ages and though i used it a few times to get to outland b4 i had hit 300 its not really worth it forthe price price of mats vs the benefits of the enchant.

herbalism is so easy to max out my hunter had it 300 at 35 due to the silly amount of herbs all over the place|||There's a few times when leveling, the only orange skill herbs are few and far between, and the next level herb up is common as muck, but you need a few points before you get it.

However, if you're leveling herbing whilst levelling your character, you'll easily find the rare herbs to skill up, and if you're power levelling it, then you can move around quick to find what you need.

In my opinion, this enchant isn't any use.
