Profession Switch?

i am 375 mining and 139 herb but i was wondering if i should switch herbalism and if so what to tell me ur opinions please

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...onnash&n=Smlir|||Switch to skinning, herbalism and mining are not a good combo since they can't be tracked at once, skinning has no such problem. Of course it might depend also on what the prices are like on your server, but generally skinning and mining go better than herbs and mining since you will simply be able to gather more.|||take engineering. loads of fun stuff to make, if you're into that kinda stuff.|||on my server i make by far the most money from herbs. leather in outland is a pretty dead trade with heavy knothide going for 4-5g a piece.

before you decide what trde to take check your ah prices over a week to see how the market fluctuates.

with mining maxed out id be inclined to go maybe jewel crafting as that will sit ell alongside mining ad its a pretty good money maker|||I see you switched to skinning already, but I'd check out the profession changes for wotlk before I went any further with it. Depends if you want to make money or enhance your character.|||Quote:

This advice is in fact quite wrong. I have a toon that herbs and mines and for at least the last 6 months and maybe as much as 12 months I have been able to track both simply with having the mining tracking up. Maybe it is a bug. Maybe it is an undocumented feature. Whatever the case, it is nonetheless reality.

|||Hmm, that's strange. I must admit I don't really know much of it since I've never had a character with mining and herbalism, but all the guides I've read say you can't track both at the same time. So either they changed it or people (including me) simply assumed. In that case, just go with what pays better.|||Regardless of whether or not they can both be tracked via stock UI, you can just download Gatherer and grab a database for it. It shows known locations of veins/herbs on both the map and mini-map. It won't be perfect (a node my have been recently harvested), but it more that does the job. It's great for planning farming routes as well.|||i have several characters who have both mining and herbalism and tracking, while i have never been able to track more than one at one time, has never been a problem for me. on the contrary to being detrimental has actually improved my awareness of herb and mineral nodes so that i can see most of them without tracking at all, which is extremely beneficial when playing a character with no tracking with a friend who has it and constantly runs off to harvest without telling you where it is or what she is doing. my partner is very spastic and infamous for that, but having both professions has taught me how to compensate for that.
