Dear, WoW Developers.

[:1]Time to combine two prfessions... keep in mind this an example. I think a lot of us have multiple toons and farmer toons.

Two profession item creations should be the next choice: BS/Eng. as an example.

example:

i.e. ilvl 259, lvl 80

Breast Plate of Nifty Minds (something like that)

Armor 5000

+190str

+500stam

+18 to all other stats

Red

Blue

Yellow

+1 for creation socket

+1 for creation socket

Equip: +50 def, +35 resistance/parry/dodge/block, +15 to all magic types

Equip: Chance on hit to cast an HoT on next lowest health @ 256-300/tic (15 secs). 1 min CD

Equip: Chance on dodge to shoot out angry missiles at all aggro'd targets causing 300-400 dam. no CD

Use: Replenishes Mana, Rage, Health at 10% per tic for 5 secs. 8 min CD.

Animation (while AFK): Breast Plate opens up periodocially with a self oiling kit and arm and polishishes off your breast plate for you, sometimes cleaning your teeth too! Small chance of back fire and /groan shot the user :P for 5 secs.

*Every unique dual professioned built item etc... the possibilities are endless.|||Et tu, Jan? Why the double post?|||Quote:

Good idea. I've thought for a while that perhaps gathering professions should be made into Secondaries, leaving the character able to choose two crafting professions.|||Quote:

I couldn't remember where I stuck the other post... Thought I was going crazy so I posted this up in the proper form. Please feel free to delete the other one (where ever it is)|||Quote:

I really like that idea.

Only trouble is it would crash the raw material prices and force current gatherers to take up crafting professions to make cash.|||Nah, just having two professions is good enough. Most of us have an 80 with two farming professions. I.E. mining/herbing or LW/mining etc... You only need one toon with farming capabilities or two toons with the other odd man out.

DK's - Unholy, improving mounting speed FTW for a quick farmer toon. Druids are excellent farming with the ability to remain on flight form while picking.|||You could also have semi-finished items, that can then be used by other professions to create something with it (like the buckle that a blacksmith can now make).

So the leatherworker creates a leather shell, the blacksmith uses this to create special armor. Or the blacksmith creates a half-finished glove, and the engineer can use this to create a number of 'special effect' gloves.

But if I understand correctly - you want to have special high-end items for players who combine two crafting professions.

I don't like the idea of 3 professions (or gathering profs as secondary ones). It's all about balance. Being able to choose jewelcrafting+blacksmithing+mining would be a bit too easy. Or inscription+alchemy+herbalism.
