Hey - I recently dropped Mining/Engineering on my mage and picked up Herb/Alchemy. I spent a few days levelling both professions over 375. I chose Master of Transmutations, made my 4 mights and now have a few questions.
What are other Alchemists doing now in the new expansion? Whats a good money-maker? Should I be trying to achieve a certain recipe or skill to make a lot of money? Im a little lost as to what to do now and wanted to know if anyone had any advice for me or a good direction to point me in. What are you all doing? Thanks.|||Quote:

Since BC came out awhile, ago, I've made more money selling the herbs, than with selling pots made with the herbs.|||I view alchemy as a money-saver, rather than money-maker, since Mixology effectively halves my consumable expenses.|||I'm herbing only for myself. I don't care about the amount of gold I can make from selling my herbs, I care more about levelling my own professions. On my main I just maxed out herbalism today (without even leaving Howling Fjord, imagine that) and got Alchemy up to 400. Should I no longer need certain herbs for my brewing, then I'll transfer them through the neutral AH to my Horde toon with Inscription, so that he can mill them and level his profession as well.|||check the prices of meta gems on your server, they may still be selling.
I have not made a lot of money on alchemy either, but it is good for some spare change.
