Since my servers still down I've been thinking a lot about my characters and the upcoming expansion..
I currently have a lvl 58 rogue with 250 or so mining and 281 enchanting. I'm thinking about getting that ring enchant for +4 stats, getting some good rings to enchant for endgame ( which actually won't matter much after wotlk and we can get lvl 80.. ) an dropping enchanting for something else. Actually, now it seems pointless for the ring enchant. Wotlk will probably have all new rings far more superior than a 70 ring with that enchant. Ok, screw that.
Well, whatever, but what do you guys think? I want to get JC as I heard it makes lots of money, but I've also heard it takes a lot to powerlevel it and I'm running low on money at the moment.
Should I drop it after all the trouble leveling enchanting, and if so what should I pick up? JC is sounding good and so is eng, but eng is really typical of rogues..|||Yoru rogue is only lvl 58 so i dont advise switching any of your professions. I learned the hard way from going from Miner/JC to Herbalism/tailor. I spent about 25 hours of time on leveling my skills and about 1k gold Just on lvls 350-375 tailoring. If you do want to switch skills, i would advise when you are at lvl 70 (or 80 in WoTLK) If you are really keen on switching, just dont level enchanting and save all your money untill the endgame. JC is a very expensive skill to level but does have a slightly higher cash flow, It might be the same in WoTLK but it will probally be differnt.|||So.. what about waiting till wotlk and switching to inscription? I like crafting profs but I don't know..|||if you give up enchanting now, that's it forever--I doubt you'll ever want to level it again.
If you're worried about money making potential, i'm not sure you can evaluate that, not being at end game yet. I apologize if you're already familiar with end-game but you didn't say so.....Also the amount of gold you get from auctioning drops, quest rewards and even vendoring junk is quite a bit different in Outland versus surface areas of Azeroth.|||just because you get inscription as a new profession doesnt mean enchanting will go the way of... blacksmithing. or something. you'll still get more stuff to do with enchanting. but if inscription intrigues you, then go for it. who knows, you might like it better. no one will be able to evaluate that except for you... and no one can do it for you.
