I've been off playing WAR and such... But i'm determined to push content in WOTLK (at the moment ;).
I was kinda broke, so I did some pretty harsh spring cleaning yesterday. Sold/Vendored/Deleted any items I know I won't use (which im generally terrible at, I still had my helmet of ten storms :S).
Been converting Badges to Gems now (Thinking those wont really sell in wotlk? new gems etc?).
But yeh, trying to determine what to farm for ze cashes.
So far, did a baron run of strat on my tanky drood (pretty easy). Netted 11 stacks of runecloth, myrmidons signet [lucky me] etc.
Farmed up 4 stacks of blindweed, couple of kingsblood, etc on my Hunter.
I think both will sell well, but does anyone have any better insights into what will really skyrocket? Also bought all the felweed I found on the AH for 5g/stack, will give it a few weeks before leaking them onto the market I think, for great profit hopefully.
Thoughts? Would hate to put in the effort to get 10g/stack for whatever I farm instead of 50 :S.|||herbs will sell since they're used in Inscription. In your place I'd spend some time looking at what's needed to level up Insscription and farm esp the things that take higher herbing skill to get.
Also I wouldn't worry about tons of gold unless you see power levelling a profession etc. I've got about 3500g and will probably end up north of 4000. You'll make about 1-2000 as you level to 80. Subtract 1000 for Cold Weather Flying at 77, add in extra stuff you get from gathering as you level or DEing greens etc.
Honestly, the safest way to make gold for the next month will be dailes. I'm doing the basic Isle dailies (five of them) which nets me about 100g if I do both toons. Obvisouldy I could do more, but that's about an hour.
I wouldn't hoard gems - I imagine there will be better gems at 80 and I don't anticipate socketing any leveling gear with stuff that's not disposable. Same with enchanting mats etc.|||Any herb is a pretty safe bet I think. People have probably started at AH allready. You can "mill" any type of herb to get the pigment you need to level inscription.
edit: to slow, but herb prices are up by a lot on my server allready. Peacebloom for 10g per 10 and stuff like that, hehe.
No point saving gems. The green gems in wotlk are better than epic gems are now. The next step up on red gems gives 12 str/agi etc compared to 10 from crimson spinels. There's also tons of interesting new cuts.|||Aye I saw blindweed up for 40g/stack I think yesterday.
Checked out inscription mats, i'll be targetting the levels of inscription that require the most stacks to level up at. Felweed looks good, and a few others up the line. Don't plan on levelling inscription myself, but I need some good incomes fo shizzle, was absolutely flat broke again (back up to 700g, still pretty poor tho).
Be nice to just have 10k to sit on for enchants etc, rather than scrounging every time I get a new piece of gear.|||Well I don't enchant leveling gear usually though I'll probbably use things like my stash of Arcane Dust up on AP enchants etc. But yeah, at 80...|||With so many people collecting up herbs in advance, I wouldnt be surprised if the huge flood of them onto the AH causes a price war. I know that prices will go through the roof bu we may see prices fall to sensible levels faster than anticipated.|||Especially for things that low level herbing can get like Peacebloom. I mean, if my level 17 druid can go pick it while questing and make 10g per stack....
Things that require higher level herbing will hold prices up a bit. And, of course, will take longer to see demand as some people will level Inscription after they hit 80.|||ive spent the last 2 days running around like a mad man o my hunter and have filled 2 guild bank tabs full of herbs. as soon as ive power leveled inscription ill put all these herbs in the ah for a small killing then carry on as normal selling high lvl herbs that are surpluss to my alch and inscription needs
