I cant seem to be able to find anything here so I thought I would ask.
Could someone explain to me what the differences between the goblin and gnome specialties are. My Deathknight is 260 engineering and I thought I would make my decision tonight and I just wasnt sure which would be better. I play horde incase that makes a difference.|||Quote:

Primarily Gnomish Engineering teaches you to create gizmos, various mechanical bits that do weird and wonderful things (although many come with cautions saying that the designer is not responsible if anything goes wrong). Goblin Engineering is explosive technology - bombs and weapons and that sort of thing that goes boom in the battlefield.|||http://www.wowwiki.com/Engineering#Specialization
Saves me typing.|||The goblin jumper cables come in handy, but to get the XL ones (that work more often) you have to choose goblin eng.
Unfortunally you can't respec without dropping eng and starting over.
I went gnomish, but wish I went goblin for the XL jumper cables.
Cant think of anything gnomish specific that I use.
Holo-gogs, dragonlings (took 2 months for the arcanite one to drop), repair bots, ammo for alts, scopes for guildies.
Repair bots are what I make mostly.
I suppose the battle chicken would be nice, but trinkets are a pain as you need the slots for better things then a fighting pet that lives for 1 minute then has a long cool down.|||Quote:

The battle chicken is OK, but what my guy makes and uses often is the Combat Harvest Reaper, which fights on indefatigably for a long time. It's a real help.|||Quote:

Not entirely correct. You need Goblin Engineering to *craft* them, not to *use* them.|||Thanks for the feedback all, I am currently at 300 and went goblin.|||That is good to know will check the AH to see what is there. The regular jumper cables are not at all reliable. but haved saved a walk back a couple times.
